The study area is expressed as traffic analysis zones (TAZ). Relations between TAZs are measured by traffic volumes, determined by calibrating a Gravity Model distribution function. This builds a distribution pattern from origin-destination camera traffic count data.
Trip distribution matches origins with destinations, taking into account the relative activity at each end as well as the travel cost between them.
